As featured in Vogue, PJ Magerko-Liquorice and Jordan Millington-Liquorice’s Pennsylvania wedding at Nemacolin was anything but traditional. Designed as a multi-day, fully immersive experience, the celebration blended theatrical fashion, drag performance, and a Wizard of Oz-inspired creative direction into what felt more like a live production than a wedding.
Every moment of the celebration was intentionally designed to reflect the couple’s shared love of storytelling, music, and visual expression. And Élan Artists was grateful to be a part of it.
The Élan Artists team, led by Executive Director Gretchen Rowe, was brought in by Emily Campbell, founder of GoBella Design and Planning, to procure and execute the wedding’s entertainment programming and help translate the couple’s creative vision into a cohesive, high-impact guest experience.
This included:
Rather than treating each performance as a standalone moment, the entertainment was designed to feel interconnected, building momentum from one experience to the next.
The wedding unfolded as a series of distinct yet connected experiences, each with its own tone and energy.
Music played a central role throughout the entire celebration, with each portion of the weekend intentionally scored to reflect the couple’s story. Musical highlights included Clair de Lune during the processional and a dramatic reception entrance set to “Pure Imagination.”
Weddings like this reflect a broader shift in how luxury celebrations are being designed. Today’s couples are thinking beyond traditional formats and focusing on unique experiences that reflect their personalities and style.
Executing at this level requires a team that understands how to produce, manage, and elevate live entertainment within a complex event environment. Curious what Gretchen Rowe and the Élan Artists team can do for your event?
