We can't stress how much EVERY SINGLE GUEST said the band was the best entertainment they have ever seen/heard. They killed it from the moment the horns stepped outside to greet guests into the reception until the very last song - guests were literally chanting for them to keep going! We already have a few guests reaching out to see if they could eventually book them for 2022 events.

My wife and I could not have been more pleased with the band's performance, as well as the trio of musicians who entertained during the cocktail hour (90 minutes!). And I know that the bride and groom, as well as our wedding guests, loved Sound House.

All of the special dance songs, especially Frank Sinatra's Give Her Love for the Father and Daughter dance were performed expertly. I also want to point out that there is no finer MC in the five boroughs of New York than Adam. My wife got a kick out of Adam approaching our table early in the evening to ask if it was okay for him to let his personality show through in his MC work. Very polite! I believe my wife said, "Adam, we chose you because of that personality!"

I also want to note how fun all of you were. I was not anticipating seeing many of our guests taking over the stage along with the band, but that is what I witnessed, and I have the pictures to prove it! That was very generous of all of you. As you know, I was even up on the stage for a few minutes mirroring some dance steps with Ray! Those wedding guests who joined Sound House on stage, and there were quite a few, had a great time and loved the interaction with the band! I also loved the way Sound House kept rockin' the room even when the conga line ventured out of the reception room for a while before returning!

Overall, it was a memorable wedding reception event at PUBLIC Hotel for Christine and me, our daughter, Helen, her husband, Dan, and all of our guests. And Sound House played a key role in making it so!

We have two children and they are both married now. My wife and I are putting our heads together to figure out what other type of party we can have in the future just so we can have Sound House entertain!

Everything was amazing - from the ceremony music (my mom cried when she realized Moon River, their first dance song, was playing), to cocktail hour and dinner, to the after dinner dancing. So, so good!

Everyone kept telling us how much fun they had, and that is in large part to Sound House. The band looked and sounded amazing. Everyone kept commenting on the fact that you look like you are having a good time up there, which makes the audience have an even better time. Your rendition of Love Shack was definitely a highlight of the evening. I hope you play it at weddings in the future!

I just wish we could have kept going!

With very little direction (they have a long list of songs and we highlighted some “must-plays” and some “DO NOT PLAYS”), they were able to put a set list together that was better than if we handpicked each of the songs ourselves.  The list has a little bit of everything – actually, a whole lot of most genres.  We can say with certainty that there isn’t a song that SH couldn’t pull off.  Our first dance was a country song, and they delivered a wonderful rendition.  My wife and her father danced to Isn’t She Lovely.   We requested some Prince Royce and J Lo.  They did their own take on Drunk in Love by Beyoncé, and I thought everyone was going to tear the tent down in excitement (highly recommend asking them to perform that).  There was a perfect balance of old and new – but you only need to give them a little guidance, and I’ll bet they’ll come up with something special.

From the minute SH started playing, the dance floor was always busy (we say busy because while dinner was being served some people ate, but the floor was still occupied).  Once the plates were taken away, the party really began!  At this point, we will say that the dance floor was PACKED for the rest of the night.  About halfway through the night, I (the groom) wanted to redo my hair, but I literally couldn’t step away from the dance floor, because SH kept playing smash hit after smash hit after smash hit.

We were so blown away with the performance (which is exactly what it was – it was like being at a high-energy concert), we both jumped up on the stage and hugged every member of the band.  Turns out that is very unusual, but we honestly attribute 80% of the night’s awesomeness and memorability to SH.  It’s a lot of pressure and they delivered.

Our wedding was over a month ago, and our friends can’t stop talking about how great the band was, our parents keep hearing about how great they were, and now that our photos have come out, I’ve been getting messages everyday reminding me how incredible SH was.

We cannot thank them enough – we cannot tell you how great they made our special day – and we will forever sing their praises.  For the biggest party that you’re ever going to throw, bring in the biggest band that you can find.  Look no further.

We really feel like music can make or break the party, especially since it's the last part of the experience, and wow. You guys absolutely crushed it!!! People are still talking about drunk in love! (People were skeptical it was a good wedding song, until they couldn't stop singing along!) And the songs you learned for us? Oh my gosh - back it up is one of our favorite songs, it's so fun, and I don't even care that we basically had our own dance party to it. So much fun!!!

Seriously, we were blown away. We knew you all would be good, but we didn't expect THAT!!! Seriously, best 3 hours I've spent on a dance floor ever - I did not want to leave!!!

We absolutely loved them. They literally had everyone on the dance floor. In the five years that I’ve attended this company retreat, I’ve never seen so many people dancing nonstop for hours. I can personally tell you that I didn’t stop once in over two hours (and my feet were paying for it the next day! J).

Luis was easy to work with (and timely with his emails which, for me, is VERY important). He also emailed us a few days before to let us know the band had learned three new songs and to find out if I wanted to add them into my wedding (and we liked two of the three) and he and the band learned six new songs just for us (two of them were Blue Grass and Country). We were absolutely blown away by how amazing they sounded. Their energy was electric, their dance moves impeccable, but what was most impressive was that they managed to do this all with an incredible range of music. Their rendition of Daughter originally by Loudon Wainwright (a blue grass song) to Girl Crush originally by Little Big Town (a Country Song) to a spot on 3-set Jewish Horah set total blew us away. Their ability to easily maneuver between Country, Latin, Pop, Hip Hop, and "Oldies" made the entire party even more fun. The vocalists Adam, Ray, Julissa and Karyn nailed every song-- and put a unique twist on a few (including "Some Nights" which happened to be one of my song requests). Miguel on Bass, John on Guitar and DaiQuan on Drums (who did an awesome solo), pulled everything together perfectly. Our entire wedding could not stop telling us how amazing the band was and one of our guests who is getting married next year even inquired about how to book them. We were SO happy with everything. We did not want the band to leave at the end of the night-- the dance floor was never empty!

I can't tell you how many people - legitimately all our guests - flipped out about how they were the BEST BAND EVER! Which of course as the ones hosting the party, is great to hear, but better when you know it's true! They were beyond amazing. One of my only "regrets" of the night was not spending more time talking to everyone, but it's only because all I wanted to do was dance all night! And they toootally nailed our first song, which they had to learn, and is very special to Andrew & me.

But even beyond their obvious talent, they were absolutely the sweetest group of people and so lovely to deal with, so responsive, and never left us with a question unanswered or any cause for concern. I planned the wedding on my own and the process is so stressful and overwhelming - music was probably the most important element to us next to food, and was ironically the least of our stress once we booked these guys.

Just a million thanks to Elan for recognizing how awesome these guys are, and to Luis, Julissa, and the rest of them for being amazing humans and incredible musicians. Toward the end of the night I was dreading them stopping playing!
